Light of the Qur’an Poetry Competition 2016

In December 2016, Darul Qur’an launched it first ever Light of the Qur’an Poetry Competition. We believe poetry can facilitate both the reflective process and the expression of Qur’anic ideals in beautiful and powerful ways.

Hence, the aim of the poetry competition was to encourage reflection on Qur’anic verses and values to inspire personal development. The competition was open to all ages with a specific theme for each age category:

Age 7 – 10 years:  Allah’s Amazing Creation
Age 11 – 14 years: Allah’s Amazing Creation
Age 15 – 18 years: Courageous Choices
Age 19 + years: Courageous Choices

We received numerous entries of impressive quality, uniquely and powerfully crafted, reflecting the creative talent within the community.
