‘Lessons for Life’ – Real Physician

The Holy Prophet (s) has said:

اَلطَّبِيب الله وَلَعَلَّكَ تَرْفِقُ بِأشْيَاء تَخْرِقُ بِهَا غَيْرَكَ

‘The real physician is God, and the things useful for you may be harmful for others.’

Brief description

The catastrophic events that occur in people’s lives are sometimes due to their incorrect life choices and wrong decisions. Many difficulties sometimes arise as a consequence of people’s mistaken or evil actions.

However, sometimes difficult or unpleasant events do not occur as a result of people’s actions. Rather, they serve as treatment or medication administered by Allah (swt), the true physician who cures people of their spiritual illnesses. The medication prescribed by Allah (swt) may be bitter and difficult to accept. However, it draws man’s attention to his weaknesses and flaws and humbles and purifies him.
